Unified Diff seems to work if I run it from the command line but it won't work from within the normal TortoiseGit contexts (e.g. from 'Create Patch Serial' etc). I also asked for advice on the TortoiseSVN mailing list but the only advice offered was to update to the latest version, which didn't improve things.

Err, this is the TortoiseSVN mailing list. Had you intended to send
this to the TortoiseGit list?

Does TortoiseGit use the TortoiseSVN diff viewer? I can't see why
there should be any interaction between the two at all as the only
common component is (should be) the overlay handler.
