TortoiseSVN-1.7.7.22907-x64-svn-1.7.5 fails on Windows 7 ssd install

When attempting to install from TortoiseSVN-1.7.7.22907-x64-svn-1.7.5.msi on a brand-new Windows 7 64-bit OS, installed on a Verbatim 128GB SSD drive, the installer locks up and needs to be killed, never un-greying the "Next" box.
I've attempted 4 times with the same results.
