I never said anything about wanting you to block ads.

Irrelevant to this discussion.

Also irrelevant to this discussion.

Also irrelevant to this discussion.

Sometimes, but that's irrelevant to this discussion. Although I don't complain about popups in general—the subject is specifically advertisements that are meant to mislead the viewer. E.g., I'd complain if there were a popup ad that said that a virus had been detected on my machine, but not if there were a popup that offered a chance to win something if I filled out a survey.

This isn't about me though, it's about you. The question that you've been evading for *years* (I know there's discussion about this subject in the archive dating to 2008, if not earlier) is: Why do you refuse to surround the ad with a box that labels the contents as an advertisement? Do you love pizza that much that you're afraid to do anything that might jeopardize your pizza supply? While I can't supply you with pizza for life, I'll donate enough for maybe a dozen pizzas if you put all ads on tortoisesvn.net in a frame (not an HTML frame, but something like an HTML div with border-style: solid) that has some text denoting the contents as an advertisement.
