AW: 'Download' ads on tortoise website

Hello Lübbe!

Call me blind, but I don't see any ads on our download page. <http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads.html>. I tried with FF, Chrome and IE.

Which pages do you mean by "download" and "update" page? Are you (maybe) downloading from a totally different site?

        Cheers
        - Lübbe

When I click on the download link on the page you are referring, a sourceForge
download page shows up with ads. And today I get two download ads for
a PDF creator and a 100% free video converter.

I work in a restricted environment where the download never starts automatically
but needs to be started by the "direct link".
So it is annoying to have to find the right link to click on every time.

My countermeasure is that I distribute TSVN to my colleagues and do not tell them
to update from the main site.

And I sometimes wonder whether I should run a deep wget on such ads to
give them the traffic they want...

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Dr. Hartmut Niemann
