Externals in the repro browser

We have a strange issue with the new external functionality in the repo browser. When if follow a external in a project (this is in the same repository) sometimes we get 'unable to connect to a repository at url' error

the url in the bar looks like:
file:///M:/VSS/Products/04.%20ProductLine/ProductX_SVN/Common/Branches/Common_ProductXCx.x/APPL

The url in the error message is:
file:///M:/VSS/Products/04.%2520ProductLine/ProductX_SVN/Common/Branches/Common_ProductXCx.x/APPL
(note the extra 25)

if i open a repro browser and surf directly to the url we don't get the error. The address in the url then is:
file:///M:/VSS/Products/04. ProductLine/ProductX_SVN/Common/Branches/Common_ProductXCx.x/APPL
(note the %20 is missing)

At the moment i have no real scenario to reproduce this. I guess it has something to do with the space in the path. In the last nightly build (TortoiseSVN 1.7.99, Build 22219 - 32 Bit -dev, 2011/10/30 14:16:39) this isue still occurs. Any thoughts?
