BUG: Unable to delete files/folders in repo. browser against HTTPS caching proxy

I’m experiencing a reproducible problem with TortoiseSVN 1.7.0 64-bit. Deleting a file or folder in the repo. browser always fails with the error message below when commiting against a SVN 1.6 HTTPS caching proxy server (that transparently redirects the commit to a SVN 1.6 HTTP master server).

This problem does not occur when commiting directly against the master HTTP server; nor does it occur outside the repo. browser when commiting against either server. The problem does furthermore not occur with TortoiseSVN 1.6.

Error message:
Can't open file 'F:\SVNRepositories\vivid\db\transactions\props': The system cannot find the file specified.
