1.6.99 32-bit on x64 system

I couldn't find a thread about 1.6.99 32-bit on x64 systems and before I
do claim something wrong I do better ask.

By default the 32-bit version of 1.6.99 can't be installed on a x64
system as this was possible with 1.6.x.

Is it possible to install the 32-bit version of 1.6.99 on x64 without
manually installing it or modifying the MSI package?
(Haven't tried any of these options)

If not, will this be possible with 1.7 final?

Right now I've installed 1.6.16 x64 and 1.6.99 x64 build 21594 in
parallel and I don't see any overlay icons or popup menu items within
the RAD Studio IDE. That is because the RAD Studio IDE is a 32-bit app
and there won't be a 64-bit version for some time even if the next
Delphi release is supposed to support x64 on Windows. I personally don't
have a problem with no TSVN in RAD Studio, but I fear a lot of people
won't like that.
