Tortoise SVN crash upon "Show log" for new branch

The current version 1.6.15 (and older versions) of Tortoise SVN repeatedly crashed when I said "Show log" for a new branch with no log entries on branch. As soon as I had one entry on the branch, Tortoise stopped crashing. Tortoise error log attached.
Also, Tortoise SVN error reporting appears broken on Windows7 64-bit with 32-bit Outlook 2007. It's set as the default mail client, but Tortoise says that it's not. That's why I've had to post the error log here.
