Ok, so in your case, wouldn't you just sit there and keep TortoiseSVN on top? It's critical to you - and I understand that - and it makes sense then for you not to do anything else.

But if SVN is going to take 10+ minutes to complete an operation, and I decide to put TortoiseSVN in the foreground, why should the app decide _for_ me that it's operation is more important than what I'm doing? I put it in the foreground it should stay there until I check on it again.
