The big download button ad has been there in various shapes and forms
for as long as we have had google ads on our web pages, and I have
been complaining about it for almost as long. The problem is that IIUC
we don't get paid for displaying the ad but only when someone clicks
on the link, so having a misleading download button means we get paid
more because a lot of people click on it, thinking it is the real
download. I really don't like that, but then I don't have to pay for
the hosting, compilers, etc.
