That work-around doesn't even work. The issue remains with that in the exclude paths. (See attached picture.)

Contrary to what I previously conceded, as drives A: and B: are specified explicitly in the dialogue box I would not expect them to be examined at all if the box is unchecked. There is no need to discover the drive type of a drive the user has explicitly excluded.

I think this needs to be raised formally as a bug now. Is this something I should do, or something a developer will do?
