I don't have much to add except a "me too", using a 32-bit XP system. I very
rarely encounter this problem and I heard from colleague that he encountered
it, too. Two other colleagues seem to be unaffected from this.

I'm not sure if the size of the repository is what matters. What I rather
suspect is the size of the working copies. The colleague that reported the
problem tends to to check out the whole repository at the root (and then
complain about performance...), but the other two do more or less the same,
why I personally try to keep the checkout small, just a single project.

I just tried something, and it seems to have triggered the bug: I updated WCs
of Python and Boost. Both are updated via internet (no local copies) and both
are rather big. Also, the Python update caused conflicts is a few files.

I can actually start typing something, but with a sub-second delay it is reset
to the previous content and the whole text is highlighted. Even if I just
un-highlight something (pressing cursor or home/end keys) the highlighting is
restored with a short delay.

Nice to know, I wasn't aware of that. I only knew that rebooting helps.

Cheers!
