Proxy NTLM in TortoiseSVN - 407

I know that this is a common and old issue in TortoiseSVN and that there
are many threads concerning this topic.

But I have been looking for several hours to find a solution and could
not find any help or statement if it works.

Also the manual does not say anything about this topic.

The problem is as follows:

- Connecting to a subversion server via a proxy with NTLM
authentication does not work

- The proxy server is a Squid, and the authentication cannot be
changed (proxy of a large enterprise)

- TortoiseSVN shows the error 407 - Authentication required

- The only workaround I got it working was to visit the
https-URL with the IE before working with Tortoise
(I think because of the keep-alive the following connections go through
the proxy without needing an authentication)

- I do not want to compile any files, include a newer
neo-Release or whatever.

My simple question is:

- Is NTLM authentication possible with TortoiseSVN? (If you
cannot change the proxy settings)

- What are the exact steps to get it working?

- If NTLM is not possible - are there any plans to integrate
this in the future? When?

Any help is really appreciated - thanks in advance.

Regards

Christian
