Yes. Firstly the number of overlays available is 15, and Windows grabs
several of those, so using another one for repositories would be a
waste.

Secondly, local repositories are really only intended for testing. You
can use them on your own PC if you are a one-man shop, but if you are
sharing the repo then it is a definite no-no. The easiest solution is
to keep all your repositories in a single folder, then you know where
they are, and you can back them up together easily too.
