Ok, I'm an idiot. I could've sworn this new laptop was just running
the 32-bit version of Windows 7, which is what I assumed the whole
time. So when I saw your response, I checked my system settings and
sure enough, I'm running 64-bit. I just downloaded the 64-bit client
and installed, works like a charm.

Thanks for pointing out my silly mistake.
