TSVN-1.6.6.17815-dev-win32: my XP task bar is gone

This morning, I boot up my system with TortoiseSVN-1.6.6.17787-dev-win32-svn-1.6.6.msi: everything was fine

Then I updated to latest build: TSVN-1.6.6.17815-dev-win32
I rebooted, logged in, and all I could see after that was my desktop background, with no icons, no menu, no task bar, no context menu at all. I had to reboot in safe mode, move the TSVN folder in a temp dir, reboot (fine), move back TSVN, uninstall and reboot: everything worked fine. (I could not uninstall in safe mode: I tried but got a message that the uninstaller service was not running).

I have now reinstalled 17787, and everything seems Ok.

This is my work (company) computer, and there are many things running, but this is the first time I see the system hangs like this.
