You don't say what sort of filter you are looking for. You can already
sort by filename, extension, copy-from-URL, etc. using the column
headers, and you can use changelists to group files together.

If the number of files is very large and you are only committing a few
this also suggests that your working practice may need changing. With
so many files in flux, how can you be sure that if you checkout a
working copy from a particular revision that it will even build?
