As far as I can tell. I don't recall installing anything that uses overlays, and the only overlays registered at
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers
are the tortoise overlays and the default ones registered by Windows XP.
