Thanks Sam! While looking at the settings I noticed that exclude paths
had my entire C drive listed- easy fix (bit of a duh moment for me). I
would not have thought to look at that without your post. Overlays are
showing correctly, and I do believe you are right- my workarea is vast
so the overlays are likely just slow to refresh. Much appreciated!

The TSVNCache program can take it's time to updatre all of these locations. You can improve the speed by targeting the directories that it looks at. Have a look in context->TortoiseSVN->Settings. Go to the Icon Overlays tab. Exclude everything and then include you working copies only. I have a 400Gb disk with lots of stuff that TSVn isn't interested in, so I keep it out of the scan.
