I am a programmer, and this statement irritates me to no end. If it's
"not too hard to add", I invite you to implement it yourself.

Would you ever say to your doctor "I'm not a doctor but I think this
surgical procedure is not too hard to perform"?

TortoiseSVN calls a script based upon file extension to invoke the
built-in document comparison features of those applications. Does
OpenOffice allow you to compare 2 .ott files in the first place?
