Sorry, I forgot to provide some basic info.
I'm using the latest stable version, 1.6.3, under Windows XP Professional SP3.

The bug report you mention refers to Subversion itself, but I'm not sure if the server version counts. I normally work with a 1.4.6 server via HTTPS. However, I can't see how it relates to my problem, it seems to be talking about Java bindings :-?
