smaller minimum dialog sizes?

Is it possible to remove or reduce the minimum dialog size constraints? Personally, I think that users should be free to make a dialog any size they like. Even if one concedes that each component should always have enough space to be usable, the minimum list/table/textbox sizes seem excessive in many cases. The worst offender is the 'Log Messages' dialog. With my laptop's maximum 1280x800 resolution, I still can't fit the full window on my screen without hiding the taskbar.
