FWIW, I have no "offline folders" but 1.6.1 does kill my explorer...

Sorry, I have not tried a nightly build yet (just reading the entire
thread now, will try a nightly here shortly).

The issue is happening for more quite consistently, and killing
TSVNCache.exe solves the problem.

I have a feeling it may have something to do with XP Pro's offline
folder syncing, but I am not certain.
