REQ: Incremental Backup (Offline)

Somethimes you are on travel and have no access to any office SVN Repository and would like to work on your labtop....
The request is to have an incremental backup from the offline work to save it to a different media (in case the labtop is stolen or ^^^) and an option to restore.
The problem with patch files: It does not add any new "Added" files (uncommited) to the patch file!
The questio for me is whether the patch file / restore creation function should be improved or to have a special backup or restore function...
