RE: Tortoise 1.6.1 kills file explorer

Same problem here. My working copies are in a network drive and explorer can take several minutes just to display a folder with a few files. Also, when I remove a working copy there often some files I cannot remove (Windows complaints about permission problems even after restarting my computer); other users in the network, however, can delete the remaining files without any issue. And last but not least icon overlays tend to disappear.

I'm running Windows XP Professional SP3. I downgraded to 1.6.0 and all problems disappeared.

I haven't installed new hardware or drivers for several months.

(Version 1.6.1 is working like a charm in my Vista box at home).

> Since upgrading from 1.6.0 to 1.6.1, several users have experienced a killer slowdown of file explorer operations. Rebooting can fix it but subsequent reboots can re-introduce the problem. CPU usage is very low. On rebooting when the problem exists, XP cannot kill process TSVNCache.exe so I'd guess this is the problem. Anybody else had this or got a solution?
