As already suggested, this has little to do with TSVN.

Note that MSOffice-based applications also usually change documents after a print operation (menu "File", "Properties", "Statistics" tab, "Printed:" label) so I'm guessing that this is probably what happened here.

If this wasn't the case, you may also be suffering from a virus which is modifying your files (MSOffice documents usually allow embedding VBA scripts which are often used to spread infections).

Finally, if you need additional information to diagnose what's happening, you may use a file monitoring application such as FileMon [1].
