Update process

The development team does a _great_ work in releasing patches, and new versions are available, it appears to me, almost every week. I admire such dedication, and I always want to stay up-to-date with the latest and greatest. Therefore, something has caught my attention - the process of updating requires the following steps:
 1. clicking on the link on the popup
 2. waiting for the site to load up
 3. clicking the download link
 4. choosing an installer to download
 5. waiting for the download to finish
 6. installing the new version ("Next" auto-clicking)
 7. restart (this I don't do at all)

I guess that points 1-3 can be removed with a button that downloads directly the correct version, right? Oh, and the PGP check is such a hassle that I never do it - can the program do it?
