Thank you. I tried the move command there and similar error. I have completely deleted the local working copy and did a new check out. There seems to be something wrong with the folder. It gets created because there is a relative external in a subdirectory. The folder is a subfolder of a folder that's in subversion, but if I put files in it I can't add the files as I have none of the subversion options when I right click(except checkout). I have created a video to demonstrate the problem and what I have done to troubleshoot:
