I can not reproduce this.
But: if a process is still shown in the task manager, but its window is
already gone, then that indicates a problem with one of your drivers.

So if you can't kill the process either, then it's definitely a driver
problem.

However, if you *can* kill the process, please provide exact steps to
reproduce this problem.
