Tortoise Crashing when proxy not configured properly - not able to change it either

Stefan, Todd,
I think I was able to get this correctly generated... Just to be
sure, let me tell you the steps that I took in case I screwed it up... this
is the first time I have used this tool...
I downloaded the Microsoft debugging tools for windows. I then
started the application attaching to the tortoiseproc.exe. I then went to
the tortoise app and triggered the failure. I had the application already
open... Once the failure on the application occurred, I issued the command
from Todd below. Todd - thank you for that command - that would have been a
needle in a haystack for the untrained eye.
I have attached the file to this msg. Hopefully this will give some
additional insight into what is going on... Please let me know if there is
more that I can do. I am in a pretty bad place - given that I have a bad
proxy that crashes the app when I try to change it... I also can't download
remotely from the server given that bad proxy - and the uninstall doesn't
clear up the issue... all of this results in me running without source
control :-(

Thanks,

Steve Chadwick

I see no indication of a crash report (only a crashrpt.dll from
TortoiseSVN).

If you're using Windbg, then when the exception occurs, you can use a
command like this to generate a dump:

.dump /m c:\TSVN.dmp;q

No doubt there are other, easier ways to get minidumps as well.

Hopefully this has enough information that Stefan could see what's going on.
