It installs fine for me. Sounds like your Win2K Pro install is corrupt
somehow; I had gotten that same error while trying to install SQL
Server 2005 Express Edition on a Windows XP Home SP2 system a few
months back. If I recall correctly, I had to download and run the
Windows Installer CleanUp Utility <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

the "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility"? If so, what did you do
besides run it? Simply running it doesn't actually do anything except
show you a list of installed applications and components. You have to
actually click buttons for it to do something.
