Hang on WinXP with Samba-Networkprinters

Hello,

We have troubles on WinXP and TortoiseSVN in combination with printers
on Samba. The explorer hangs when browsing the server itself (not a
share of the same server). It works on Vista and it works on the same
server if a share is browsed (which means no printers are listed).
Example entries in the Explorer:

\\server -> Explorer freeze on WinXP (SP2 or SP3)
\\server\someshare -> ok on WinXP

\\server -> ok on Vista
\\server\someshare -> ok on Vista

TortoiseSVN Version is 1.5.2 - Version of samba is 3.2.1

Removing TortoiseSVN solfed the problem and browsing the server on WinXP
is possible.
Removing all printes "solfed" the problem too (browsing was possible again).

I tried to isolate this a little bit and set up a synthetic brand new
samba-server (no PDC, no LDAP, ...) and added one printer without
drivers for windows via cups and it works without problem too! But even
if I just enable one printer on our full setup real samba-server the
explorer on WinXP freezes when TortoiseSVN is installed. It´s ok on
Vista. It´s ok when browsing some shares below the server (so no
printers are shown).

Excluding "\\server" in the settings of TortoiseSVN below "Icon
Overlays" does not help (means explorer-freeze). "Icon Overlays" for
Networkdrives are not selected too (but that´s no real drive with a
driveletter but browsing the server directly). It does not even make a
difference if choosing "default", "shell" or "none" in status-cache
(means freezes all the time). Removing TortoiseSVN on the client or the
printers on the server helps.

Sometimes it seems that restarting samba on the server unlocks the
freeze and all shares and printers are listed even on WinXP. But that´s
of course no solution. So I don´t know exactly what is the problem here
but a combination of WinXP (SP2 or SP3) and Networkprinters on samba
make problems with installed TortoiseSVN.

Greetings,
