Thanks, I feel like a moron now. :)

I think I encountered the DLL error on the 64bit version and decided
to try the 32bit version. (Because I've had to do that in the past
with some 64bit apps - I've been trained that if 64 shows any signs of
weakness, to abandon it and go to its dumber, slower brother.) So, I
never went through the full install / reboot cycle with the 64 bit.
Just did that and its working. I am ashamed.
