As far as I know there are no other special chars. If there were
then why would it work with log caching turned off?

The repository is located on one of our servers at the path:
  \\Wd-fs\Software\svnrepos

If I use a repository on a local drive the log cache works fine.

In trying to reproduce the problem are you working with a
repository on a local drive or one on a share with a path as
shown?

I'll see if I can set up a minimal environment using Virtual PC
to reproduce the problem.

Steve
