Sorry, I meant creating a tag.
e.g. in the Repository Browser: right click on a item, Show log, right
click on a revision, "Create tag from revision".

If you enter forbidden character or reserved name, every checkout will fail:
"Can't create directory: [..]: The directory name is invalid."
