using a different username when accessing externals

hi there!

id like to use an external repository, which uses svn+ssh with a
different username, than i have on my workstation.
i could put "username@" in front of the hostname in the svn:externals
property, but this way everyone that uses my repository would need to
login to the external repo with my password.
i RTFM, googled but did not find anything. is this possible atm? will
it be added?
im using 1.4.8 (current stable) on win2k.
thank you!
