TortoiseSVN Installation

Hello Group,

Just wondering if someone here can help me with an installation
problem. I had TortoiseSVN installed and running and then tried to
update it to the latest version. This update failed due to a power
outage.

I then restarted the installer and now it stopps immediately with the
error message "The configuration data for this product is corrupt.
Contact your support personnel." This is obviously a message from
Windows Installer. So I tried to remove the faulty installation with
Add and Remove Programs in the Control Panel. But there is no item for
TortoiseSVN. Then I googled for solutions and came across the tool
ClearInstall which obviously deletes some registry entries. As this
was not successful as well, I scanned the registry for "Tortoise"
entries and deleted them. That was also not successful and I still get
the same error message. The last hing I did was to compare the MD5
hashes from my downloaded installer file with the original one and
both are the same. So the file I try to install isn't corrupt.

Well, now I have no idea what else I could do. So, if anybody can help
with an idea how to fix the installation problem, that would be much
appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Dirk
