Re: Google Groups

Any plans on back-filling old posts? Just curious.

I'm looking for a better way to handle the email lists I'm on. I currently
use GMail. It's better then other email list solutions I've used in the
past: everything automatically files to it's own Label, and the threading is
great. However, things I miss are:

1) Having things in a hierarchy (my email list labels are all scattered). I
know I can use 'Better GMail', but it only works in Firefox (and only if I
can install plugins).
2) A way to isolate searchs to or from the lists. Virtually every time I
try to find something my in actual personal messages (very small compared to
the list traffic, but I still use many personal labels to keep things
filed), I end up with an overwhelming number of spurious hits from mailing
lists. I can exclude them, but I have to manually exclude the lists one a
time (tedious and error prone).
3) Inconsistent reply-to settings. In some email lists, reply goes to the
group in others it goes to the original author.
