What was being suggested does not require compiling/running your
software on the Windows PCs, only the writing and editing of the
source code. Changes would be commited from the PC, then, in a WC on
the Linux server, update, compile and run/test.

If the repository is also on the development server, then a
post-commit hook script could even automatically update the WC of the
developer doing the commit.
