accessing an external-HD repo via windows

Hi everyone,

I'd like to keep a repo on an external HD that I can pass around between
a few different windows computers.

I set it up OK, but the issues I'm having are:

1) the drive letter changes between session -- not a big deal... I've
started using the "relocate" option every time. But it's a pain -- just
curious if you had any comments along the lines.

2) Due to some permissions issues that I don't fully understand, I do
not have write perms to the repo on any computer other than the one that
initially made it. So, I can commit from that laptop OK, but other
laptops get "Access Denied" on trying to commit.

Any ideas?

thanks
