Yes, it happens from any parent folder. The revert doesn't have to include any changes in the problematic folder either. So basically any revert above the problematic folder is broken.

The sub-directory under the problematic one, which fixed things if i reverted changes for it first, does have a space in it.
A\
        My Project\
      Bunch_of_Project_Files.vb
        ...

Other than that it is all simple ASCII file names.
