I was reluctant to ask on the SVN mailing list because I can't show
any problem at all using the SVN tools - only with Tortoise. The
Tortoise error message is hard to explain too, because the "200 OK"
is sent by Apache to indicate that everything has succeeded.

I tried the nightly build 1.4.99.11467. This no longer gives the error
- instead, it reports "Inconsistent line ending style". This is the
case, so I expect that's what the problem was. I probably failed to
reproduce it because I wasn't being careful enough to get my line
endings messed up properly.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
