How often would you need this? Once for the first checkout, once again if you accidentally deleted your WC? A third time? I don't think so.

I think that e-mailing the URLs is a sufficient means to distribute common repository locations. People who cannot copy & paste from e-mails are surely not suited for their job.

100% agree. It's just administrative overhead, adds additional options and more for a feature that less than 1% (my guess) will ever use.
