One point I forgot to mention here. Presumably you want to create a
folder for these tagged files, so there are 2 commits involved: one to
create the folder and another to copy the files into it. That's
another reason why tagging a folder is so much easier. It is also the
reason the branch/tag dialog is not available for multiple files. OK
you could use repo browser to create the folder and then go back to
your WC to copy multiple files into the new folder URL, but if we did
enable tag for multiple items we would likely get more confused users
and very few who actually want this feature.
