Yes, this is intentional. An update is something completely different
than a commit. Which means we don't have to be 'consistent' here.
A doubleclick action in TSVN is usually chosen so that the action itself
can be done really fast. The "Compare with wc" in the update dialog has
to first fetch a file from the repository, which means it is *not* fast
and therefore not done by a doubleclick.
