hello.
I meant more so if the SVN server was offline. or you can transfer
from system to system via USB or whatever. plus there are situations,
when on travel etc, where you have access to email but may be
temporarily disconnected or (as we are currently encountering) run
into curious firewall and ISP issues when outside the country.
Or you could get them prior to going offline....
Let me pose the following scenario. suppose you are on travel or on
the beach during work hours. how can you revert from one rev to
another without a connection to your (remote) svn server. if you had
various "rev" files, you could hypothetically, "Apply" them to your
local copy. so if you kept a bunch of these rev update files around
on your laptop, you could be free to use them for any number of
reasons when you go offline.
