SVN menus do not appear at all

Hi all,

my colleague is having a weird problem with TortoiseSVN: He had an old version
installed (1.3.x, I think) and installed the 1.4.3 version over it. Now he
doesn't get any context menus anymore. He has already tried deinstalling and
reinstalling TortoiseSVN, but that didn't help. The overlay icons appear in the
explorer window, but the menus don't. He's on Windows 2000.

Has anybody experienced similar problems?
