Bug Report: Problem with Look and Feel Icon overlay Settings in TortoiseSVN

From: Fraser, Kristian <Kristian.Fraser_at_fcc-fac.ca>

Hello there:

We are currently having problem getting the Look and Feel
Icon Overlay settings to show up in a TortoiseSVN controlled folder when
viewing through windows explorer.

The specific setting is "Unversioned files mark parent folder as
modified".

Here are the steps I take:

1. Navigate to any TortoiseSVN controlled folder in the Windows
Explorer that is currently showing the green check mark icon (up to
date). For example "My Folder"

2. Enter the "My Folder" and create a new file. For example
"abc.doc"

3. right click in the window and select Tortoise SVN -> Settings

4. Expand on the "Look and Feel" then select the "Icon Overlays"

5. In the "Status Cache" section, check the "Unversioned files
mark as modified" checkbox.

6. Click "OK"

7. Navigate back to the parent folder of "My Folder"

Expected Results:

I expected to see the icon the red exclamation pint
(signifies changes) on "My Folder"

Actual results:

"My Folder" is showing the check mark (up to date) icon.

Thank you for your time.
