Commit dialog goes away after a commit

Hello,

I find it rather inefficient that I have to bring up the commit dialog
each time after selectively committing a few files. Could it be possible
to retain the commit dialog until it is dismissed explicitly by the user?

The behavior I would like for a commit of a few/all files is
  - commit progress, feedback in the same dialog
  - commit dialog remains after the action
  - commit dialog contents are refreshed based on the success of the
action and changes in the filesystem

Is this something that has bothered some of you? Do you know of a way out?

Thanks
Kurien
