If these two issues are independent to each other, think about using more than
one working copy (if it isn't too large).
You could also create patches for each issue individually, but then you have to
apply and commit each of them seperately.

Another approach would be using SVK to mirror the master repository to the
laptop. See http://svk.elixus.org/
